Talent Project Market
Talent Project Market, organized in cooperation with the Berlinale Co-Production Market, offers emerging producers and directors the opportunity to present their film project to potential co-producers and financiers. You can apply with a feature-length film project for theatrical release and suitable for an international co-production.

Talent Project Market is a hands-on training programme for producers and directors participating in the Berlinale Talents programme. Talent Project Market is also open to previous participants (producer and director alumni) of Berlinale Talents.
Talent Project Market, in cooperation with the Berlinale Co-Production Market, offers young producers and directors the opportunity to present their film projects to experienced co-producers and financiers. In addition, two monetary awards can be won.
The Berlinale Co-Production Market is a 2,5-day event during the Berlin International Film Festival which brings together around 500 producers and financiers from all over the world for exclusive and concentrated networking. Here, producers working on international co-productions can introduce their projects and find co-production partners and/or financiers.
Talent Project Market is one of the Berlinale Talents project labs. At the same time, it is a special section within the Berlinale Co-Production Market, reserved for 10 emerging producers and directors from Berlinale Talents . You can apply with a feature film project for theatrical release and suitable for an international co-production. The script of your film project must be finished and preferably (although not necessarily) already have a producer and/or initial financing attached.
An international jury selects around 10 projects for Talent Project Market every year. If your project is invited, you'll participate in the 3-day Talent Project Market programme and have the chance to meet various potential partners for your project at the Berlinale Co-Production Market in pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings.
The first day of Talent project Market focus on the preparation of your meetings and learning more about the international film business and its film markets. A pitching trainer, various mentors and other industry experts join to help you by giving insider tips on how to present and to market your project, and by sharing their views on the ins and outs of international co-production, financing and co-production markets.
The second and third day at Talent Project Market are dedicated to one-on-one meetings with potential partners for your project. They read about your project in the Berlinale Co-Production Market project catalogue and can request 30-minute meetings with you. These requested meetings will be pre-scheduled by us.
In addition to all this, Talent Project Market offers a variety of informal networking opportunities. You will have the chance to exchange ideas and share your experiences with the other selected Talents at Talent Project Market as well.
As a Talent Project Market participant you will automatically be considered for the „Talent Project Highlights“, the only public pitching event at the Talent Project Market/Berlinale Co-Production Market. At this event, you'll compete for two monetary awards: the 10.000 Euro VFF Talent Highlight Pitch Award (sponsored by the VFF - Verwertungsgesellschaft der Film- und Fernsehproduzenten) and the 6.000 Euro ARTE International Prize (sponsored by ARTE). Two of the 10 Talent Project Market participants will be selected by our jury for the „Talent Project Highlights“ pitch event. Only the selected three participants will have to pitch and have a chance to receive (one of) the two monetary prizes for further project development.
If you wish to apply for Talent Project Market, you must first apply to Berlinale Talents as a producer or director. After submitting this application you will have the possibility to apply for Talent Project Market.
Former participants of the Berlinale Talents are invited to apply as well.
